In the first quarter of 2026, revenues from tourism was increased significantly and reached record figures. In January-March of the current year, the country received 829,8 million USD in revenue from tourism. 

Despite the events developed in the Middle East and, accordingly, the negative impact on global tourist flows, in January-March Georgia received 0,5% more income from tourism than in the same period last year. 

The growth from the EU and UK direction is particularly impressive – the expenditures of tourists entering from these countries increased by 36,4% and amounted to 140,7 million USD. It is noteworthy that the EU is in first place with a 17% share in terms of revenues received from tourism. 

In the first quarter, the revenue received from tourists entering from Turkey was increased by 12,2% and reached 120,1 million USD, from Ukraine – by 34,2%, and from Saudi Arabia – by 47,6%.
In 2025, revenues received from travel (tourism) was increased by annual 6,0% and amounted to 4690,2 million USD.
