Georgia’s Exports and Trade Turnover Reached Historical, Record Levels in January-April

Positive dynamics and sharp growth trend in Georgia’s foreign trade continue. In January-April of the current year, exports was increased by 21,1% and reached a record figure of 2439,9 million USD. During the reporting period, domestic exports was increased by 73,5% and amounted to 1551,0 million USD.

In April 2026, exports was increased by 16,1% and reached a monthly record volume of 716,3 million USD. Domestic exports, excluding re-exports, was increased by 69,3% compared to April 2025 and amounted to 428,2 million USD.

In addition, the foreign trade turnover in April reached a record 2198,1 million USD, which is 2,6% higher than the figure of the corresponding period of the previous year. Meanwhile, the trade turnover in January-April was increased by 1,7% and also amounted to a record 8132,8 million USD.

The trade balance was also improved in April. In April 2026, the trade deficit amounted to 765,5 million USD and improved by 143,0 million USD compared to April of the previous year.
According to the existing statistical data, during the four months of 2026, EU countries, as well as China and Kyrgyzstan, while by country held the largest share in the structure of exports, a significant growth in exports in January-April 2026 was recorded to China, Togo, Turkey, Armenia, Bulgaria and other nations.

By product, the export of petroleum and petroleum products, precious metal ores and concentrates, ferroalloys, copper ores and concentrates, hazelnuts and other nuts, mineral and aerated waters, mineral and fresh waters and wines was increased significantly in January-April 2026.
