One of the largest tourism exhibitions in the Asian region opened in Shanghai at the Georgian National Pavilion. Georgia is participating in ITB China with the status of a partner country.

Irakli Nadareishvili, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Giorgi Mirtskhulava, Deputy Minister of Culture and Maia Omiadze, Head of the National Tourism Administration, attended the official opening of the exhibition.

At ITB China, Georgia’s exhibition space covers 400 square meters. In the specially arranged working pavilion, up to 30 Georgian companies have the opportunity to hold meetings and establish business connections with potential partners.

Presentations showcasing Georgia’s tourism potential are actively underway within the framework of the exhibition.

Over the course of three days, visitors to ITB China will have the opportunity to closely experience Georgian culture, folklore, gastronomy and wine. Supported by the Ministry of Culture of Georgia, the folk group Rustavi will present a special cultural program in the pavilion.

Exhibition visitors can view samples of Georgian crafts and receive comprehensive information about the unique collections preserved in Georgia’s museums and repositories.

Masterclasses in traditional crafts and Georgian calligraphy are provided. Furthermore, Georgian chefs will host a culinary show for the guests, alongside ongoing Georgian wine tastings. Presenting Georgia with the status of a partner country will significantly contribute to raising the country’s awareness and attracting new tourist flows from China.

During the exhibition, the Chinese media and leading digital channels will actively cover special promotional videos prepared about Georgia as a tourist destination.
