Tamar Ioseliani Met with Ambassador of Turkmenistan

Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Tamar Ioseliani, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Georgia, Dovletmyrat Seyitmammedov.

During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for further deepening bilateral cooperation. The focus was placed on key areas such as bilateral trade, energy, investments, transport and logistics, tourism and others.

The meeting highlighted the cooperation between the two countries within bilateral and regional transport routes. Particular attention was paid to Georgia’s strategic location, thanks to which the country serves as a transit hub bridging Europe and Asia for Turkmenistan and other Central Asian states, fostering regional connectivity.

The parties also reviewed prospects for intensifying partnership in the fields of tourism and civil aviation.

The meeting was attended by Givi Zedelashvili, Head of the Trade Development and International Economic Relations Department of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, and Lasha Abashidze, General Director of Georgian Railway.
