Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mariam Kvrivishvili, congratulated the Accreditation Center, its staff, experts involved in the process and accredited conformity assessment bodies on World Accreditation Day.

“World Accreditation Day is celebrated annually on June 9. On behalf of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, we congratulate the Accreditation Center, its employees, the experts involved in the accreditation process, and the accredited conformity assessment bodies. It is through their joint efforts and active work that we can ensure the safety of our citizens and support the sustainable development of the country’s economy.

Year after year, the accreditation mechanism is being applied in increasingly more fields, as regulatory bodies, consumers and manufacturers place growing trust in the activities of accredited organizations.

This year is particularly significant for the global accreditation community, as a single international organization - Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated (Global ACI), was established in January 2026. It replaced two organizations previously operating in this field: the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC).

The Georgian Accreditation Center, as part of the international and European accreditation systems, is fully integrated into these processes and provides Georgian companies with services recognized in Europe and internationally. Thanks to this recognition, products and services produced in Georgia, whose conformity is verified by an accredited laboratory, certification, or inspection body, enter European and international markets without additional barriers,” – the Minister’s congratulatory message reads.
