Mariam Kvrivishvili Discusses Wide Range of Trade and Economic Cooperation Issues and Future Strengthening Prospects with the Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan

Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Mariam Kvrivishvili, met with the Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, Bakyt Sydykov.

The parties discussed a wide range of issues regarding the trade and economic cooperation between Georgia and the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as prospects for their further strengthening. The meeting between the heads of the economic agencies of the two countries took place within the framework of the official visit of the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, to the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the conversation with her Kyrgyz counterpart, Mariam Kvrivishvili noted that reinforcing economic ties is a vital aspect of developing cooperation between the nations. According to the Minister, the Government of Georgia attaches great importance to identifying new avenues for mutually beneficial partnership between the two countries.

Deepening cooperation and prospects for bilateral trade between Georgia and Kyrgyzstan was one of the main topics of discussion between the ministers. As Mariam Kvrivishvili pointed out, extensive opportunities exist in this regard across a number of sectoral directions.

Mariam Kvrivishvili provided the Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan with detailed information regarding the investment climate in Georgia.

The Georgian side expressed its readiness and interest in increasing the volume of exports for products that are already present in the Kyrgyz market.
