Mariam Kvrivishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, attended the international conference - Civilizational Foundation of Europe and 1700 Years of Christianity in Georgia.
Organized by the Parliament of Georgia, the Conference was dedicated to the 1700th anniversary of Christianity being declared the state religion in Georgia.
The international conference was opened by Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Shio III, President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze, and Chairman of the Parliament Shalva Papuashvili. Maximos Charakopoulos, Member of the Hellenic Parliament and Secretary General of the Interparliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy, also delivered a speech at the event.
Members of the executive and legislative branches, representatives of the Orthodox Church and invited guests attended the Conference.
