Mariam Kvrivishvili has been nominated by the Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, for the position of Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development. Mariam Kvrivishvili replaced Levan Davitashvili as Minister, who has been appointed as the Prime Minister’s Chief Advisor on Economic Affairs. Levan Davitashvili will also serve as the Secretary of the Economic Council.
Mariam Kvrivishvili’s professional biography includes over seven years of public service related to the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development. She previously headed the Ministry’s National Tourism Administration and served twice as Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development. Kvrivishvili was also a member of the Georgian Parliament for two convocations and held high-level positions in the private sector in various years. Mariam Kvrivishvili is a member of the Political Council of the political union “Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia”.
