Air Arabia Abu Dhabi increased its number of flight at Tbilisi International Airport, with flights from Abu Dhabi now operating 8 times a week, including twice a day on Thursdays. Air Arabia Abu Dhabi is a subsidiary of the world-renowned low-cost carrier, Air Arabia, which has been operating in Georgia since 2021. Initially, the airline flew to Tbilisi three times a week, but due to increased demand, flights from Abu Dhabi will now be performed with a frequency of eight flights per week.
The increase in flight frequency by Air Arabia Abu Dhabi to Tbilisi once again highlights the success of Georgia’s aviation policy, the dynamic development of the tourism industry, and the country’s correct positioning in international markets. This regular air travel will boost connectivity between the capitals of Georgia and the United Arab Emirates and will ensure the deepening of economic, tourist, and investment ties. The increased frequency of flights will also promote Georgia and attract more high-spending tourists to the country, which will positively affect the revenue generated from tourism.
According to statistical data, Georgia has the most active air traffic with the United Arab Emirates among the Gulf countries. Last year, 647 710 passengers traveled between the two countries, which constituted 59% of the total passenger traffic between Georgia and the Gulf countries. In January-June of this year, passenger traffic was increased by 17%. It should also be noted that in the first 6 months of 2025, a record number of travelers from the Gulf countries was recorded in Georgia, with 47430 visits, which is 10,5% higher figure than in the same period of 2024.
